The winners and honour awards (where entries and quality permit) will be presented during awards reception in November during the 2nd IWA Development Congress & Exhibition. (awardees will be further recognised during subsequent World Water Congress event). One winner and one honour awardee will be allocated per primary award category (thus, a maximum of 12 awardees will be recognised).
The awards trophy will identify the award as the IWA PIA – Development Award category: |

Honour Awardees will receive certificates containing the same information.
Winners will be entitled to poster display of their projects at the 2nd IWA Development Congress & Exhibition, an article in Water 21 and the use of the IWA Project Innovation – Development Award Programme award certificate in advertising.

| PIA DEVELOPMENT REGIONAL WORKSHOPS |

| In keeping with the theme of ‘knowledge sharing’ and ‘scaling up’, an outcome from each award series will be the staging of three regional PIA Development category workshops, one each in Africa, Asia and LAC. The objective is for winning projects, (where relevant and appropriate in that region) to profile and share their knowledge, experience, lessons learnt, etc to other stakeholders in the region. Providing this platform will allow more visibility to the project as well as to strengthening the transmission of knowledge into the sector, for others to learn, adopt and apply the same principles/technologies, etc. |
